This has led to a certain group of people being unable to make use and benefit from the advanced features and services offered by these technologies. One of the most innovative technologies for human-computer interaction is the Near Field Communication (NFC). In this paper we present a platform that uses NFC technology in order to reduce the digital gap for mobile users, together with an experiment carried out with the goal of evaluating the differences between executing mobile services using the proposed platform and using the traditional touchscreen-based interaction.
